Assistant Professor of Spanish, Career Track
Maria Eugenia Sileoni’s research and unfinished dissertation is on “Her-Historical Novels of Gioconda Belli.” Sileoni (PhD ABD, University of California, Irvine) earned her master’s degree in Spanish Literature and Theater from the University of California, Irvine. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Spanish with a minor in Latin American Studies through the University of California Education Abroad Program at the Universidad de Costa Rica in San Jose. She also holds a certification in Online Teaching from California State University in San Marcos, California. She is currently seeking National Certification in Spanish Interpreting for the Professions.
At WSU, she teaches courses at the beginning and intermediate levels of grammar and composition. She teaches Spanish language courses, Spanish for the Business Professions, Reading and Translation, and Listening and Conversation courses.
