Students working together in the Language LabWelcome to the LLRC

The Language Learning Resource Center provides foreign language students with individual access to almost 40 computers, as well as two HD TVs with VCR and Blu-Ray DVD players and the ability to check out equipment such as laptops, projectors and other technology essential to language learning.

The LLRC houses a dedicated computer with a high-speed duplex scanner plus a flat-bed scanner and editing software (Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat Professional, etc.), as well as multiple printers for student printing needs. The center is staffed with trained undergraduate student lab monitors and technicians who are available for student assistance and technical support.

The LLRC also provides foreign language classes with class access to 18 computers if needed for class activities. Current foreign language classes have priority in the area south of the monitor’s station for this purpose.

The upper mezzanine level offers nine computers and several study tables. In addition, there is a 55″ HD-TV with a dedicated HD-DVD and Blu-Ray player for our film classes and offers theater-style chairs for comfortable viewing for pre-scheduled class movie showings.
