Field Trips

Asian Cultures, Arts, and History 2025

This year, our fully funded, faculty-led field trip explored Asian Cultures, Arts, and History around Seattle.

This field trip was made possible through the generous support of the Honors College, the Department of History, the Department of English, and the David G. Pallart Center for Arts and Humanities. Thanks to their support, our students were able to explore and learn beyond the classroom.

Our students, accompanied by our faculty Kayo Niimi, Xinmin Liu and Raymond Lindquist visited:

  • Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Washington (JCCCW)
  • Seattle Koyasan Buddhist Temple
  • Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience
  • Seattle’s Japantown (Nihonmachi)/ Chinatown
  • Japan Week at Bellevue College
  • Hiroshima-Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Exhibit and Films
  • Seattle Chinese Garden
