Mariah Inman

Journalism Intern

Mariah serves as the journalism intern for the School of Languages, Cultures, and Race. Her duties include creating content for the school’s newsletter, writing articles about the school for The Scoop (the school’s newsfeed), taking pictures at school functions, and other tasks assigned by the director.

About Mariah (in her own words):

I am majoring in Multimedia Journalism with a minor in Comparative Ethnic Studies. When I was 5-years-old, I stole all the printer paper from the family’s computer printer and set it on the table. I turned to my dad and said, “I am going to write a book.” Fast forward to my college career and I am still aspiring to be a writer. I enjoy writing about culture, human relations, and interesting people. This internship gives me the freedom to promote a school with people from different backgrounds, cultures, and languages. After I graduate, I plan to write for a magazine like National Geographic that focuses on culture, sociology, and history.
